Buildings from the mediaeval period – roughly 1066 to 1540, have been found throughout our region. Recent excavations at Bradley Stoke uncovered fascinating information about some quite large structures. Beautiful churches abound in South Gloucestershire and we are also blessed with other important sites like the fabulous 14th century tithe barns at Winterbourne and Acton Court.
