If you cannot move your wheeled bin, due to mobility or health reasons please contact us.
An officer may visit you and arrange for an assisted collection. This means that someone will move your bin to the collection vehicle and back again on collection days.
If you live with an able bodied person, then we cannot offer you this help.
Renal dialysis and colostomy waste
We offer a clinical waste collection service for renal dialysis waste and colostomy waste. This is collected weekly from your home in yellow bags and taken away for incineration at high temperatures. If you need a clinical waste collection, you need to get a healthcare professional to approve it and notify the council.
Medical waste
If you have other medical problems that result in additional non infectious waste, such as incontinence pads and dressings, you can request an extra bin. Please contact us to request this.
