Working together - ContactPoint

ContactPoint logo

You can't share information if you don't know who to share it with – or where to find them.

ContactPoint is a practical tool which can be used to identify and contact other people working with a child or young person you are involved with. It will help you to concentrate on delivering services rather than wasting time trying to track down who is also involved or unknowingly duplicating the efforts of others. ContactPoint will:

  • Help practitioners to identify a child with whom they have contact and whether that child is getting the universal services (education, primary health care etc.) to which he or she is entitled
  • Provide a tool to enable earlier identification of needs and more effective action to co-ordinate services
  • Facilitate better communication and closer working between different practitioners in the children's services workforce
