This project supports Early Years settings - Pre-schools, Nurseries, and Childminders, to promote healthy eating and physical activity. Workshops
A range of workshops are advertised in the South Gloucestershire Professional Learning Community Early Years Training (Department for Children and Young People) and include:
- Cooking with children
- Dance for Children ages 2 - 5
- Fun and fitness for the under 5s
- Grow and Eat
- Infection control
- Menu planning
- Promoting self esteem at snack and mealtimes
- Sun safety

Resources
Resources can be borrowed free of charge from Yate, Bradley Stoke and Kingswood libraries and include:
- Healthy eating box
- Dental health box
- Hand washing machine
- Physical play box

Healthy Pre-School Award (HPA) and Healthy Childminding Award (HCA)
This annual award gives recognition to settings that actively encourage a healthier lifestyle and achieve criteria such as offering fruit and vegetables for snacks, encouraging walking and demonstrating an understanding of nutrition.

Packed lunches for ages 2 - 5
This leaflet was developed in response to Practitioner requests for information on packed lunches for ages 2 - 5. Many people were involved in piloting and finalising the leaflet.
