The Health, Safety and Food Team carries out a wide range of work from food hygiene and safety inspections to health promotion work. We have selected days and events throughout the year, which focus on a variety of promotional activities from Food Safety Week, national celebratory days of health, local initiatives, and many more. There are some exciting things going on across South Gloucestershire and we invite you to join us.
Food Safety Week 2008
Food Safety Week takes place 9-13 June and is a UK wide campaign which aims to raise awareness of good food hygiene practises. It also encourages local authorities, schools and community groups throughout the country to focus on the best ways to avoid food poisoning.
