South Gloucestershire News

SGN - Autumn 2011

South Gloucestershire News is the council's magazine for residents. It's published four times a year and is delivered directly to households, as well as being available at council offices, libraries and leisure centres throughout the district.

It aims to keep people informed about local issues and key services provided by the council.

The current issue includes all the latest details on a number of important consultations including the Sustainable Community Strategy, Filton Airfield and the council's budget for next year.

Our cover story features football legend Ian Holloway who manages Blackpool FC. Ian went back to his old school, Sir Bernard Lovell, to open the hi-tech sports facilities which are also available for community use. There is a round up on the investment spent on schools in South Gloucestershire and details on how to apply for your child's school place.

On top of this there is a four-page supplement on all the latest recycling news in the district in the SORT IT!* supplement.

If you would prefer a hard copy of the magazine, email us with your full address and we will send you one.
