Can I pay a Penalty Charge Notice with a credit of debit card?
Yes you can use a credit or debit card to pay online or via our touch-tone telephone payment system.
What will happen if I refuse to pay?
28 days after the Notice to Owner has been issued, and if no reply is received, a charge certificate will be sent to the owner increasing the sum payable by a further 50%.
If the charge certificate remains unpaid after a minimum of 14 days the council will register the debt with the Traffic Enforcement Centre and a registration fee of £5 will be added to the debt. If the debt remains unpaid it will be passed to bailiffs and any costs incurred by them will be added to the debt.
I have already paid this Penalty Charge Notice. Why have you sent me an Notice to Owner, Charge Certificate etc?
