The Yate Sort It!* Centre is provided for the sole use of South Gloucestershire residents. You cannot dispose of commercial waste at any Sort It!* centre.
At Yate Sort It!* centre you can recycle:
• Car batteries and household (dry-cell ) batteries
• Used engine oil - 1 Gallon (5 litres) per visit
• Scrap metal
• Cardboard
• Green garden waste
• Hardcore (rubble) and soil
• Wood (clean wood only - no MDF or chipboard)
• Glass bottles and jars
• Textiles and shoes (tied together in pairs)
• Paper
• Food and drinks cans
• Plastic bottles
• TetraPaks
• Vehicle tyres – Maximum 4 per household per year
• Refrigerators and freezers
• Televisions and computer monitors
• Large electrical equipment (ie cookers and washing machines)
• Small electrical equipment (ie kettles, irons, toasters)
• Asbestos – Maximum 12 sheets per project, double wrapped in sealed plastic
• Fire Extinguishers – Household sizes only
Please Note:
Trailers that have double axles or with boxes longer than two metres will not be allowed on to this site. This will help to reduce delays caused by large trailers manoeuvring round the sites while still letting householders use smaller trailers to deliver waste.

From Station Road, Yate turn into North Road, continue under the railway bridge until reaching a crossroads. Turn right into Armstrong Way, then right again into Dean Road. Take the first turn on the left into Collett Way - the site is on your left.
