To promote accountability and transparency the members allowance scheme requires each councillor to submit an annual report and for attendance records to be published. Attendance records

Councillors duties are wide and varied. Attendance at meetings only forms one part of their wide range of duties. The figures above provide a number of different ways of viewing the attendance of individual councillors at meetings. The most meaningful figure is the overall number of meetings attended and not the percentage figure.
It should be noted that some members percentage attendance is affected by the number of meetings that they are involved in. On occasion the meetings of the council or those of our partners clash which prevents members being able to attend all meetings that they are a member of and this then affects their percentage attendance
