Non-statutory planning guidance includes Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG), Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs) design guides and development briefs. The planning system changed in 2004 so that Councils no longer produce SPGs, instead SPDs are now produced. SPGs produced by the Council in previous years are available in the 'Read more' box on the right hand side of this page. However, due to the age of some SPGs only hard copies are available - please contact us for further information.
A full list of SPGs and SPDs that have been adopted by the Council, as well as other planning guidance, is available in the Local Development Scheme.
