Minerals and Waste Local Plan

The Minerals and Waste Local Plan was adopted in May 2002. It has an end date of 2011. The functions of the plan are to:
  • Translate national and regional policy into detailed policies and proposals 
  • Develop at a local level the policies and proposals of the Joint Replacement Structure Plan 
  • Provide a framework for determining applications for minerals and waste operations 
  • Guide and inform the minerals and waste industries
  • Make the public aware of mineral and waste issues

 

Expired policies:

- On 27th September 2007 the following policies in this Local Plan expired - Policies 2, 5, 7, 12, 15, 19, 25 and 30. 

 

- On 25th March 2011 the following policies were superseded by the Joint Waste Core Stratey and ceased to have effect  - Policies 3, 36, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42 and 43.
