The Minerals and Waste Local Plan was adopted in May 2002. It has an end date of 2011. The functions of the plan are to: - Translate national and regional policy into detailed policies and proposals
- Develop at a local level the policies and proposals of the Joint Replacement Structure Plan
- Provide a framework for determining applications for minerals and waste operations
- Guide and inform the minerals and waste industries
- Make the public aware of mineral and waste issues
Please note:
On 27th September 2007 the following policies in this Local Plan expired - Policies 2, 5, 7, 12, 15, 19, 25 and 30. The other policies remain in effect until replaced by policies in documents prepared as part of the Local Development Framework (please see the 'Read more' section).
