Did you know.....?
Free condoms are available at all the No Worries! young peoples clinics and drop-ins, all the No Worries! GP Practices (family doctors) as well as at sexual health clinics listed on the No Worries! leaflet. You can also buy condoms in pubs, clubs, supermarkets, petrol stations, chemists and pharmacies.
Condoms are the only contraceptive method that protects against sexually transmitted infections (STIs) as well as pregnancy.
No Worries! is a South Gloucestershire scheme that makes it easier for young people to access relationship and sexual health advice services. Even if you are under 16, all of the services listed in the leaflet are free and confidential (unless you are at risk of harm).
No Worries! Services leaflet
This is an up-to-date list of free, confidential local sexual health services that young people can trust. To access a copy of this leaflet please see the 'Read more' section on this page.
No Worries! C-card
If you are under 20 you can now get free condoms from a wide range of venues through the South Gloucestershire C-card scheme (please ask at your local Youth Centre or No Worries! drop-in).
To get a C-card you will need to go to one of the C-card registration points across the area. You will have a confidential chat with a trained C-card worker, who will explain the scheme, teach you the best way to use condoms and answer any questions you might have. You don't need to give your name and they won't tell your parents or carers that you have been to see them.
Once you have got your C-card you can go to any C-card point and be given free condoms. You can do that up to ten times before coming back in for another chat with a C-card worker. This gives you the chance to ask more questions or talk about any concerns you may have. You will then get a new C-card to use.
Publicity about the new C-card will be displayed in youth centres, G.Ps and other suitable venues.
