Thornbury Library is situated at the upper end of the pedestrianised shopping precinct. It is next door to a signposted, short-stay car park which provides disabled parking facilities (by the Wheatsheaf pub and opposite the police station).

Facilities

Thornbury Library also provides a laminating service, a Kurzweil Reading Machine for the visually impaired and has microfilm and microfiche facilities, including the Thornbury Gazette on microfilm (1955- date).

- Pre-school storytime: Mondays 2.15pm - 2.45pm, term-time only, except for last Monday in the month
- Rhyme Time: last Monday of every month, 2.15pm - 2.45pm, term time only

- Computer lessons available in partnership with AgeUK South Gloucestershire. Details on request
- Computer Support Volunteers are available to help with any quick computer queries you may have: Mondays 10.00-12.00.
- Chatterbooks: a reading group for 9 to 11 year olds. Once a month on a Saturday: 2.00-3.00pm
- Wills clinic: first Monday of each month. 10.00-12.00noon. Drop in or contact the library for details.
- Ancestry: Would you like to research your family tree but don’t know where to start? Please ask for details.
