Directions

From centre of Downend (Badminton Road), turn into Westerleigh Road by the Horseshoe Pub, then right into Buckingham Place, then left into Buckingham Gardens. The library is at the end on the left adjoining the health clinic. Car park at the rear. Disabled toilet. Service all on one level.

Monday: 9.30am - 7.00pm
Tuesday: closed
Wednesday: 9.30am - 5.00pm
Thursday: 9.30am - 7.00pm
Friday: 9.30am - 5.00 pm
Saturday: 9.30 - 5.00 pm
Sunday: closed

Downend library also provides faxing and laminating services and has computer games for hire.

Special events

• Pre-school storytime for under-5s every Thursday (term-time only): 10.30am - 11.00am
• Rhyme Time for babies and toddlers every Wednesday morning from 10.30am to 11.00am
• Chatterbooks reading groups for children. Second and third Saturday of the month, 11.00am to midday
• Reading group - Thursday once a month: 7.15pm
