The whole adult social care and housing workforce in South Gloucestershire can access the range of training, development and qualification services available through the Council’s Community Care and Housing Department.
This means that our courses and other learning-related services are there for people who work for independent, voluntary and private (IVP) agencies. They are also open to people who work for Direct Payment Users.
There is no charge for IVP sector staff to access the core underpinning knowledge courses we run. Further details are available when you book places. Where the department does make a charge for a course place, which includes cases of late-cancellation or “no-show”, the charge is £60 (plus VAT) per person per day.
Our training courses qualification programmes should complement other types of learning and development that can be undertaken via the workplace; all forms of which can then be recorded by staff in their individual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) files. These can be downloaded from the website or sent to any agency, on request.
