You should make your claim for Council Tax Benefit as soon as you need assistance with your Council Tax payments. If you do not have all of the proofs necessary to support your claim, do not delay in making your application. If you delay you could lose out on Benefit.
Once we have received your application we will write to you and request any outstanding evidence. You will be given a date to which you must return the information to us by, this will be one month from the date of our letter.
If you experience any difficulties in getting the information, once we have written to you, you should tell us immediately.
