We are keen to hear what you have to say about our services good or bad. It's good to hear about positive feedback. This is passed onto individual staff and teams. We also need to know when things don't go to plan. If you wish to make a comment or complaint speak to the staff or service involved. Most concerns can be sorted out quickly this way. If you prefer you may wish to speak to the Manager.
If the Community Care and Housing Department arranges the service but it is supplied by a different provider (for example, home care agency, a residential care home run by another organisation or day care provided by another agency) you should contact them directly.
For further information about how to make a complaint, you can download our complaints leaflet called 'Have Your Say' by clicking on the link in the 'Read more' box on the right-hand side of the page.
You can contact our Complaints and FOI Team.

A friend or relative can help you make a complaint. An independent advocate may be arranged through Advocacy Services at the Care Forum. This service is free and confidential. They can provide advice or information and in some cases may be able to provide more practical support.

If you are still not happy with the way your complaint has been handled you can contact the Local Government Ombudsman. You can approach them at any time but they may wish for the Council to look at the complaint first.
