We are keen to hear what you have to say about our services good or bad. It is important to learn from our successes and where we could do better and we need your help to do that.

If we arrange the service but it is supplied by a different provider (for example, home care agency, a residential care home run by another organisation or day care provided by another agency) you should contact them directly.

A friend or relative can help you make a complaint. An independent advocate may be arranged through Advocacy Services at the Care Forum. This service is free and confidential. They can provide advice or information and in some cases may be able to provide more practical support.

If you are still not happy with the way your complaint has been handled you can contact the Local Government Ombudsman. You can approach them at any time but they may wish for the Council to look at your complaint first.
