LAAD

This year the LDPB gave the LAAD project £6,000 to develop further sports and leisure activities for people with learning difficulties.

Over the last five years LAAD has worked with community partners to develop new activities from a recreational level through to national competitions. These include:

• Tennis sessions run by Almondsbury Tennis Club
• Football run by Bristol Rovers Ability Football Club
• Cricket run in partnership with Gloucestershire Cricket Board and Frenchay Cricket Club
• Athletics run with Filton Club and Bristol and West Athletics Club

As part of the project people with learning difficulties will be asked what activities they would like adding to the future leisure programme and the 2 or 3 most post popular will be developed with partner organisations.
