South Gloucestershire Council runs a grant scheme to assist owners of trees covered by a TPO or within a Conservation Area, to undertake works to that tree. The grants are discretionary and in principle work to trees affected by development will not be eligible for grant aid. The grants are available for remedial tree works only, not for felling or deadwooding. The grant covers the cost of approved works up to 50% and to a maximum of £75 per tree and £500 per application.
