Radon South West Committee
The Radon South West Committee is a group of professionals involved in the field of radon. It:
  • Gives advice on reducing radon in homes and offices
  • Provides information and advice to the public and other professionals such as estate agents and solicitors
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge on the risks from radon gas

Radon South West Committee terms of reference

The terms of reference of the Radon South West Committee are:

  • To seek a continuing and meaningful eduction in the adverse health effects of radon gas in buildings
  • To promote interest in radon issues by the exchange and dissemination of information and to represent the interests of local authorities in the south-west
  • To organise training courses
  • To improve public awareness on all issues associated with radon

Committee membership

The committee comprises local authority officer representatives working in the south-west who have a special interest in radon. Co-opted members can be appointed at the discretion of the committee.
