Services:
The Landscape Consultancy works to maximise the value of school grounds as recreational and educational resources for the school and wider community. They provide landscape and ecological advice to primary and secondary schools, giving advice and guidance in the planning, design and development of their grounds.
The Landscape Consultancy is a member of Learning Through Landscapes, a nationwide charitable organisation dedicated to ensuring that children “enjoy the opportunities and experiences that
well planned school grounds can offer”.
The Landscape Consultancy Role:
- Workshops to encourage children to consider the value of their school grounds and contribute to its future development.
- Master Planning of school grounds to guide future development and facilitate the prioritisation of work and fund raising.
- Cost effective landscape design and detailing to maximise the educational, social and recreational value.
- Briefing and appointment of artist to work with students.
- Production of landscape contract documentation and contract administration to see project ideas through to construction.
- Making applications and negotiating to secure the necessary Consents.
- Assist with bids for funding.
- Advice on ‘build it yourself’ workshop days for parents, staff and students.
