Historic Buildings Technical Advice leaflets
The Council has produced a series of 4 guidance leaflets relating to historic buildings covering lime rendering, lime pointing, window repair and listed buildings. The leaflets provide non-statutory guidance in support of the Council’s Local Plan policies L12, L13 and L15 which relate specifically to conservation areas, listed buildings and locally listed buildings. There are a wealth of historic buildings within South Gloucestershire which do not fall in to these categories, but which contribute greatly to the rich and varied character of South Gloucestershire, and are an important environmental resource. The Council encourages owners of all historic buildings to follow the guidance set out in these leaflets.
The Council hopes to produce further guidance in the future, and would welcome suggestions from members of the public about what guidance would be particularly useful.
