Planning policies are used to help assess planning applications, guide future development and co-ordinate private investment.
The policies for our area are set out in the South Gloucestershire Local Plan, the Minerals and Waste Local Plan, the South Gloucestershire Local Development Framework and in non-statutory planning guidance like supplementary planning guidance (SPGs), design guides and development briefs. Also relevant are the Joint Replacement Structure Plan and the Regional Spatial Strategy.
