Guidelines for a personal search of the local land charges register and CON29R information
A personal search is simply an inspection of the local land charges register, from which notes can be made.
Guidance and information
Please note that the Council’s Land Charges Service operates an appointment system that requires at least 24 hours notice. Appointments to inspect the LLC Register can be made by contacting the Local Land Charges Section on Tel 01454 863060.
Appointments will be made to view the LLC Register between the hours of 10.00 – 12.00 and 14.00 – 16.00 Mon-Fri.
We will require the following information:
- The name and address of the person or company wishing to carry out the inspection of the LLC Register.
- The address/description of the property or land against which the personal search is to be made.
- Clear Ordnance Survey plans showing the property outlined must be emailed to locallandcharges@southglos.gov.uk or faxed to 01454 862609 (after the appointment has been confirmed).
- If Con29R information is required, please state selected item’s on the initial appointment.
Personal Search Appointment Times:
All appointments are booked for between 10.00 – 12.00hrs or 14.00 – 16.00hrs.
Location: The Council Offices, Castle Street, Thornbury BS35 1HF.
Format of the Local Land Charges Register – Charges are currently held in a combination of electronic and paper format.
