The purpose and aims of the ExtraCare partnership is to:
- Meet the target of developing 15 ExtraCare schemes by 2016 in all areas of South Gloucestershire.
- To make sure there is a consistent provision of high quality design, care and support services.
- To make sure that services are focused on the needs of older people in South Gloucestershire.
- To make sure that services offer the choice of promoting individual independence, a home for life, a secure environment and a choice of integration into the community.
