If you need help to stay living independently, there are various ways we can help you with your housing needs. If you are elderly or disabled, we run grants schemes that can help you with adaptations to your home.
For vulnerable people in housing need who are being admitted to or discharged from hospital, we have a protocol to ensure that they receive:
- A seamless service to meet their needs when they are admitted or discharged from hospital
- Access to appropriate accommodation and support
We also provide various housing support services for vulnerable people under the government's 'Supporting People' programme. Currently over 2500 people receive support to live independently from 48 providers, either in supported housing or on a floating basis.
