- Homeowners unable to manage the maintenance of their homes may be eligible for a low interest loan. Similarly if you or a member of your household are disabled and need adaptations to help you live in your home we may be able to fund the work. - If you are a private tenant and are unhappy with conditions in your home we may be able to help you
- Rent a Room Scheme is when someone rents out a furnished room or an entire floor of the house that they live in. The scheme does not apply if they property is converted in to separate flats. The landlord can either own the home or they may be renting from someone else. If the landlord is renting themselves, they will need to have permission to do so in their own tenancy agreement. Landlords can receive up to £4,250 tax free if they rent to a lodger through the Rent a Room scheme. Further information is available on the government website direct.gov.uk. - Share to Buy is where a group of people get together and buy a property.
