The annual Chair's Community Awards are a high profile event that recognise and reward the dedication and contribution that individuals make to the community. For 2008 the awards have been generously supported by Airbus.
Every year nominations are invited from individuals and organisations to award voluntary work in community development, equalities, arts, sports working with older and younger people, community safety and neighbourliness.
If you know someone whose dedication to helping others has made a real difference to your community, this is an opportunity to thank them and show that their work has been appreciated.
To receive a reward candidates must be nominated via an application that highlights their commitment to the community. They may have dedicated a great deal of time to voluntary work, helped others to overcome challenges or provided leadership and motivation to a community group. Above all they will have made a real difference to the lives of others.
