Festival winners 2011

 

The Spring and Summer Festival, in partnership with Airbus took take place on Saturday 7th May 2011 at Filton College’s WISE Campus and Saturday 18th June at Yate Outdoor Sports Complex where around 1,300 pupils competed in tag rugby, basketball, hockey, girls football, pop lacrosse, gymnastics, multi skills, and athletics, girls cricket, multi skills tennis, street dance, tri golf, boccia and t-ball, multi skills and wheelchair basketball (Summer).

Paralympic Swimer Kate Grey, competed in Beijing last september representing Great Britain in two swimming events said:

"I reallly enjoyed the day, there were a lot of youngsters taking part in a wide variety of sports and activities and you can seee how much fun they had.

I remember when i was younger taking part in as many different sports as possible, and the festival gives youngsters the opportunity to do the same".
