Community Sports Networks (CSN) are a collection of people who have a desire to develop and promote sport and physical activity in their locality. A typical CSN includes representatives from local authorities, schools, sport clubs, national governing bodies, sports centres, volunteer networks and wider community groups such as disability groups.
Aims of networks
• To pool resources to maximise outcomes
• To develop clubs, coaches and volunteers
• To develop a single plan for community sport
• To reflect local needs and demographics
Measurement
• An opportunity to work towards achieving collective and individual targets
• An opportunity to demonstrate the power of sport in supporting wider agendas
• The contribution towards 1% year on year increase in 2020
