Community safety is about making sure that everyone in a community is safe in their homes and on their streets.
Community safety issues in the area are co-ordinated by the South Gloucestershire Safer and Stronger Communities Strategic Partnership. The Partnership is made up of organisations (the Police and Police Authority, Local Authority, Fire Service and Fire Authority, NHS Probation Service, and voluntary sector agencies) who work together and with communities to:
- tackle crime and anti-social behaviour
- improve community safety for people living and working in South Gloucestershire
- strengthen the communities in South Gloucestershire
We work with communities and individuals to prevent problems where we can, and we take enforcement action where necessary.
