Subject to funding Capital Grants and Revenue grants are run yearly and will be available for application April/May 2010 (Capital) and October/November 2010 (Revenue)
Capital grants
Applications for capital grants are now closed.
Capital grants are available to support voluntary and community groups' capital projects, such as buying or enhancing land or buildings and buying or replacing equipment, machinery and vehicles.
Funding is mainly available for smaller projects costing no more than £3,000 in total.

A capital grant can only be used for:
- Buying or enhancing land
- Buying, constructing or enhancing buildings
- Buying, installing or replacing plant, machinery, apparatus and vehicles and vessels
Small (revenue) grants
Applications closed on 30th November 2009.
Small (revenue) grants are awarded to local groups to develop projects and provide activities that meet local needs. Categories of work include art and culture, children and play, community safety, developing communities, enhancing the natural and built environment, learning activities, promoting equality and tackling poverty, sports and for supporting vulnerable people.

All voluntary and community sector organisations that are actively engaged with the Safer and Stronger Community Groups, (SSCG) are welcome to apply for a Safer and Stronger Community Groups Initiative Fund.
