Children and young people partnerships

Multicultural group of young people holding hands

Introduction

The new Children and Young People's Partnership website has been developed so that partners across South Gloucestershire can share information.  The senior officer group which has representatives from across agencies and sectors, is really keen that all our partners should be able to find out about our shared developments easily, so this website has been established to do just that.
We hope you find it easy to explore and use. Whilst I am sure you will find lots to interest you, I am also sure you will be full of suggestions about what else could be here. All partners will be able to contribute so we know the richness of information will increase along with its use.

We have some important events in the New Year, and this is the place where you will be able to keep track of them all! To access the new website please visit  www.sgcyp.org  or use the link in the 'Other websites' section on this page.

Children’s trust arrangements in South Gloucestershire

Children’s trusts are a response to the need for agencies to work together and share relevant information so that they can better support the achievement and wellbeing of children and young people.
The Children Act 2004 makes clear the duties of the Local Authority and partner agencies. By 2008 local authorities are required to have in place arrangements for integrated working which focus on improving outcomes and shifting the emphasis from intervention to prevention.
The components which underpin the South Gloucestershire approach are detailed in our Children and Young People Plan. They are on all levels from the strategic, to planning and delivery.
