Transforming support for children and young people

Group of children jumping for joy

We are transforming the way in which we support children and young people in South Gloucestershire. On 1st April 2005, Child Social Services, the education service - including all schools and the youth service came together to create the Department for Children and Young People. This rearrangement of council departments is about working together to improve outcomes for all children, young people and their families in South Gloucestershire. On these pages you will find information on how we are achieving these aims.  Please also visit our Children and Young People Partnerships in South Gloucestershire website at www.sgcyp.org and see how we are working together with our partners in the statutory, voluntary and private sector within South Gloucestershire.
