Where else can I get support?
AFTER adoption
All too often adoption is a tricky subject to talk about at home, with our friends and at school. It often helps to talk to an outsider - someone who you don't know but understands where you're coming from. TALK Adoption is a national, free and confidential helpline for anyone under 26 who wants to talk about anything to do with adoption.
Telephone 0808 808 1234 or go to www.talkadoption.org.uk for TALK Adoption's website.
I want to trace my birth family what can I do?
You can not have access to your adoption records until you are 18 years old. Once you have reached this age you can view your records and start tracing your birth family.
