South Gloucestershire has a good reputation for the care and services provided to looked-after children. The Corporate Parenting Steering Group (CPSG) is a multi-agency group with responsibility for the delivery, review, evaluation and ongoing development of the strategy. The CPSG is an integral part of the strategic development towards Children's Trust arrangements and the council's Plan for Children and Young People. The CPSG will manage the delivery of the Children's Trust's arrangements in respect of looked-after children and will report to the Children and Young People's Strategic Partnership Board and the council. The steering group will work in partnership to promote the life chances of looked-after children. The membership includes representative elected members and senior officers from the council. As the steering group shares many aims and objectives of those of a healthy care partnership, it will fulfil this function and senior officers from partner agencies have been invited to join the group to further the agenda.
