South Gloucestershire Council has a scheme for permanent and temporary employees whereby part of their salary can be exchanged for childcare vouchers. These vouchers are exempt from National Insurance contributions and Taxation and therefore represent a saving for employees who use them to pay for childcare. The Scheme is open to all South Gloucestershire Council employees plus people employed by the following organisations:
- Bristol Community Health
- Circadian Trust
- Cotswold District Council
- Great Western Ambulance Service
- Merlin Housing society
- NHS Bristol
- North Bristol NHS Trust
- Olympus Academy
- South Gloucestershire Primary Care Trust
- The Ridings Federation of Academies
- Westbury-on-Trym Academy
- West Town Lane Academy
Instead of vouchers you can also elect to have a direct payment to your provider these attract the same savings and saves on resources.
You must advise us of the organisation you work for when completing Form CVS1 to enable us to advise your Payroll Dept of the deductions you wish to be taken from your salary.
