Consumer advice in South Gloucestershire is an essential and valued part of Trading Standards and is provided in conjunction with Consumer Direct. Consumer Direct are a telephone and online advice service supported by the government and working in partnership with local Trading Standards services. They are able to provide clear, practical and impartial advice to help you resolve any problems you are experiencing with suppliers of goods or services.
For those complaints that involve a possible breach of any legislation Trading Standards enforces, or is a complex civil matter, will be referred to Trading Standards for any appropriate action.
Please note – in the case of civil issues, Trading Standards are only able to provide advice on how you could go about trying to resolve your dispute. We are unable to get involved any further.
