South Gloucestershire Trading Standards has introduced the Buy With Confidence Scheme in an attempt to promote high standards of trading within the district. The overall aim of the Scheme is to recognise those businesses who consider excellent customer service a priority and who trade in a fair, legal and honest way.
Any business that applies to join Buy With Confidence must undergo an audit by Trading Standards. We carry out a series of checks, including the levels and types (if any) of complaints received. If we are satisfied the business meets our criteria they will be invited to become a member. Successful applicants are issued with a certificate and window and / or vehicle stickers to promote their membership. Contact details of all members are available from this website or in hardcopy from Trading Standards upon request.
All members must abide by the scheme's code of practice. We monitor any complaints received about members and, if necessary, will envoke the disciplinary procedure against those who do not comply with the code of practice and the spirit of Buy With Confidence.
