Children attending events when there is an outbreak in the community - Advice for parents and carers from the Health Protection Agency.

  • Those children who do not have sickness or diarrhoea symptoms can attend events
  • Extra care should be taken to maintain good hand hygiene at this time
  • Children under the age of 11 years should not take part in cooking / food preparation activities during the time of the outbreak.
  • Any event participants experiencing symptoms of diarrhoea should leave the event, where practicable.
