Bristol Enterprise Development Fund (BEDF)

BEDF provides loans to new and existing businesses in the west of England including South Gloucestershire. To be eligible applicants have to be 18 years of age or older and be the principal, partner or director of a proposed or existing independent business employing fewer than 25 people. All applicants must provide evidence proving that the funds sought cannot be obtained elsewhere.
Applications have to be made via Business West or a local enterprise agency and be accompanied by a full business plan and 12 month cash flow forecast. Business West or a local enterprise agency will normally provide help with preparing business plans and cash flow forecasts.

The Prince's Youth Trust

The Prince's Youth Trust offers low-interest loans, marketing grants and ongoing business support to young people starting their own business. To qualify applicants must be aged 18-30, be unemployed or work fewer than 16 hours a week and need funding over and above that which can be obtained from other sources.
